FRANK HENNESSEY
Chief Executive Officer
Frank brings more than 30 years of restaurant, food manufacturing, and grocery retail experience to Recipe.
He is leading Recipe in what is a transformational time for both the company and the industry. Frank’s experience will guide Recipe through the next stages of growth as it continually evolves to meet the needs of both today’s and tomorrow’s Guests.
Frank holds an undergraduate degree from Western University and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
QI TANG
Chief Financial Officer
Qi Tang is Recipe’s Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive experience leading finance organizations in both public and private companies. She has previously held senior executive roles as CFO of Skyservice Investments Inc. and CFO of RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.
At Recipe, Qi oversees the company’s financial strategy, budgeting and planning, reporting, and shareholder relations, while partnering closely with our Divisional Presidents to accelerate growth across our brands and franchise network. In addition to her financial leadership, she is responsible for Restaurant Central Operations, Legal, Real Estate, and Design & Construction.
Qi earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Economics with a specialization in Western Accounting from the Central University of Finance and Economics. She is a CPA, CA, and CFA charterholder, and an Institute-certified corporate director (ICD.D)
JULIE DENTON
Chief People Officer & Chief Technology Officer
Julie Denton is responsible for People and Culture, Corporate Social Responsibility, Communications, and Recipe’s digital and technology strategy, including leading a company-wide technology modernization program.
Julie brings more than 30 years of consulting and industry experience. Julie serves on the Program Advisory Committee for the Hospitality & Restaurant Operations program at Humber College and is a Board Member of Enactus Canada, where she also sits on the Governance Committee. She previously served on the Board of Restaurants Canada and chaired its HR Committee from 2020 to 2024.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
